Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
