Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for significant tournament

The rising star has substantial social media presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders as she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"He basically told me to compete and have fun," she continued.

"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions recently and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He is the best player globally," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, especially with younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
