Tributes Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the killings, public individuals expressed divergent reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making controversial remarks that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the choice to comment on the death was made.
