The relatives of teenagers lost after a tragic blaze at a establishment in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for confirmed information and pleading for any details about their loved ones publicly.

The fire ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified footage depict the roof structure catching alight as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the fire, which killed 40 people and wounded another scores more. Authorities said on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to name the remaining few.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been taking to social media to plead for clues about their friends who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

The national sporting body has said that he is no longer with us, without directly referencing the fire, paying tribute to a "talented young man who represented dedication and true sportsmanship."

His parent, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His mother told reporters that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the bar.

"A close friend informed me they ran away after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "I remember his kindness and positive demeanor, alongside great responsibility. Often offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her sibling has published an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her other nation say they are closely watching the developments.
