Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.
This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
